Active Oxygen (Ozone)

Is active oxygen (ozone) safe?
The Shoefresh has been CE certified and found 100% safe.  The amount of ozone released by the use of the Shoefresh is very small and well below the legal maximum.  In addition, the ozone will degrade to oxygen within a few minutes.  After cleaning, nothing remains in the shoe and in the room.  The cleaning process is completely natural: No chemicals are added.

Can the active oxygen (ozone) run out?  Do you need refills?
The Shoefresh generates the active oxygen itself by means of an ozone generator.  It does not require refills.

Tip: Place the Shoefresh in a well-ventilated room, such as the utility room, garage or hall.  This way you do not suffer from the smell of your shoes and the cleaning.

Where do I put it?

Give your Shoefresh opod a permanent place in your home, near the shoes.  This keeps inviting you to put your shoes on it.  Place the Shoefresh in a well-ventilated area, such as the utility room, garage or hall.  And just open a door or window.  This way you do not suffer from the smell of your shoes and the cleaning.

Is warm air bad for my shoes?

A high contact temperature is very bad for shoes, therefore you should never put shoes on the heating (or against the heater).  On the other hand, drying shoes gradually with warm air is 100% safe.  For example, you can tolerate the warm 80°C air in a sauna.  But if you grasp a 80°C heating tube, you burn immediately.

Note: For leather shoes always choose the "LEATHER" program with a dry temperature of 40°C.. Leather shoes are a lot more vulnerable.  

Does the smell come out of all the shoes?  And how fast?

Regular cleaning and drying of your shoes gradually reduces the odor.  This is the case with all types of shoes. Also with old shoes.  However, this will take some time.  The smell is not out in a few times.

Healthy shoes, healthy feet

The warm, humid environment in your shoes is the ideal breeding ground for fungi and bacteria.  On average, shoes contain more than 400,000 bacteria and fungi!  This leads to smelly shoes and can also cause foot mold and calc.  It is therefore important to clean and dry your shoes regularly, just like your clothes, socks and underwear.  If you keep your shoes healthy, you keep your feet healthy too.

 1 in 3 people, lime nails or foot fungus (swimmer seczema) are experienced.  Foot mold and limestone nails don't go away with the Shoefresh Ood.  We need tools to stop the fungus and make the nails and feet healthy.  There are also many other means available at the pedicure, chemist and pharmacy.  Many of these resources are easy to use at home.
